Photos of a F-5 (P-38L) at the Yanks Air Museum in Chino, CA. Photographs taken May 2017. The lighting and access to the plane made for ideal walkaround conditions.
I believe this is the only restored F-5 in existence, and it was a real treat to see. The plane had extensive stenciling, so I tried to capture as much as I could. One of the museum staff graciously allowed me to get very close to the plane, and even helped me carefully climb a ladder to photograph the cockpit and other top-side features.
