Photos of P-38L-5 "Thoughts of Midnite" at the P-38 Gathering in Sacramento, CA, Sep 11-12, 2010. This was a particuarly fruitful photo shoot.
For some reason, perhaps because I had never seen this plane prior to this event, I found this P-38 particularly interesting and captured some details I had not been able to adequately photograph before. The combination of lovely weather, the colors of this beautifully-restored subject and access to practically the entire aircraft, made this a real treat. With three other P-38s nearby, I felt I was in P-38 heaven!
